I just had openreach install Sky Fibre 500 to my flat in central London.

Openreach came on Tuesday as planned but couldn't complete it. Someone else came on Wednesday to make some changes outside in the communal area. My wife let them in and they connected the router but suggested that somthing wasnt done correctly by the previous installer.

Since then the internet has been on for 5 min and off for 5 min. Over and over. Service checker says it's working (even when Max HuB is off)

I called sky and they took me through resetting the router. I've also reset it myself.

Is this normal? Will the situation resolve itself?

@JackBorough its not normal fibre broadband should be stable from day one. Check the lights on the ONT unit as they will show if there is an issue wuth the connection. The one lzbelled PON should always have a steady green light and one labelled LOS should noot be lit. When calling Sky explain the history.
