If you do insist on a low voltage extension, the easiest way to size the plugs is to use a set of metric drill bits as gauges.

If a 3mm bit fits, it’s a 3.0mm plug. If not try a 2.5 bit. If that doesn’t fit, it’s almost certainly a 2.1mm plug.

Anyone out there know what the male/female size is need.

It's the black router.

Ta

Using a mains extension is far safer. The white Sky hubs up until recently had a USB-C connection which can be used to provide power.

More info; The 4x1.7mm sockets I ordered to make up my extension cable arrived today. They don't fit. Turns out that while the socket on the router happily takes and reliably powers up on a 4x1.7mm plug, the plug on the Sky supplied power block actually measures 4.8x1.7 mm. As if there aren't already enough low power DC connector types.
