Sky now partners with CityFibre, so that makes sense. Unfortunately it does mean that exactly the same situation may arise again.

Fibre offer

Hi . I received an offer for a free fibre upgrade and was given an instalation date. Problem is Vodafone tried to install fibre at our property last year but couldn't due to our location. I phoned sky to tell them this but said I didn't have any outstanding orders. Just trying to save them sending someone out on a pointless mission.

If Sky has sent out the offer message then their sales database thinks the location is reachable: local Openreach infrastructure may have changed, or perhaps CityFibre is available there now.

Vodafone thought it was reachable until cityfibre turned up. Never told me anything for 2 weeks. Had to visit Vodafone shop to get answers. Told me order had been cancelled due to being too far away . We'll see
