I have just upgraded to a skay max router as i was told it provided guaranteed wifi throughout the house. Annoyingly since i've installed the router the wifi signal to my Samsung FRame TV (which is in ano seperate room to teh router) keeps dropping out. I don't have tehis problem with my laptop or phone just teh TV. Any ideas what might be causing this as it was fine when i was on EE?

@eiffelberger Your TV would connect to the hub, it's possible ut cannot recognise the dual 2.4 & 5Ghz signal

You will need to go into the hub settings and turn off the 2.4Ghz, once the TV is connected you can turn the 2.4Ghz back on.

Linked below the sky help! Not sure what you had with EE but if you say will help, i came from the stupid EE Smarthub+ after the FW Feb2025 mess up!

Sky Max change settings link.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/change-wifi-max-hub-settings-a

Thanks for your suggestins. I turnrd off the 2ghz but tv wouldnt connect to the 5ghz annoyingly. Spoke to sky and the guy said that the max hub wont let you set a device to a particular ghz . Apparantly the okder boxes did. Hes sending me a max pod to boost the signal so we'll see if tgat majes a difference

@eiffelberger Good test doing that, no idea if your TV does work in both bands that is something you would need to look at from the TV Specifications, if it does work on 5Ghz then it may just have channeled up in the sky Max hub to a frequency that your TV cannot operate in, this is all device specific unfortunately. All you can do is get your pod, connect it up and set it over in the other area and see if boosting your wifi get's better, and your pod WILL boost both the bands!
