Connecting a ring doorbell

I've purchased a ring doorbell and can not connect to my WiFi. It will not accept the password even though entered accurately. I've successfully logged the same doorbell to another address so I know I'm following the steps correctly. It just will not connect to my sky router

Hi there, is it a wired or battery ring door bell? And what model is it? What router do you have?

@Fecky4 I know you say you have entered the password correctly but doublecchecck you are not misreading a number like 1 or0 as a letter O or I or vice versa it is extremly easy to do so.

Recent Ring doorbells will connect to dualband WiFi SSIDs but the some older ones wont. Either if you have a white hub turn off the 5GHz band while you connect the doorbell and then turn it back on. Alternatively if you have a black hubsplit to the two bands as explained here Split Sky WiFi bands

@Fecky4 There is a whole security with Ring doorbells, so when you say at another address what do you mean, Ring when setup have it registered, if not there is nothing to stop someone removing the doorbell and using wherever the wish to do so! Ring.com explains it all!
