WiFi encryption

My son has a new projector and the WiFi on it says my network is encrypted- how do

i remove this so he can join the WiFi on the device

Removing the encryption is not a good idea as it means that anyone in the neighbourhood would be able to connect to the network without the need to use a password.

Can the projector see the Sky wifi network, because if so it should be a case of connecting to it and using the password printed on the hub itself.

@Marvin11 What sky hub are you using that the projector is trying to wireless connect too!

The projector should be capable of WPA2 encryption: that protocol has been around for over two decades and is the minimum any current devices should ship with.

As @caesarome said, removing encryption from the router is extremely unwise.

With a white Max Hub you may need to reduce the wireless security level from WPA3-T to WPA2-PSK using the Hub settings in the My Sky app.

You can use the same settings to temporarily disable the 5Ghz WiFi band: remember to re-enable it afterwards if you do this.
