The last week or so, my internet connection has been dropping out for a few minutes at a time. I'll have full bars of wifi (or the usual amount, depending on where I am in the house), just no internet connection. It'll reconnect, then disconnect again, over and over until eventually it'll decide it's alright. Then a couple hours later - the same thing again. Speed is perfect when it's working, then NOTHING.

When I got round to staring at the hub to witness it happening, I get the internet light switching off entirely, then reconnecting, then off, then reconnecting. The service checker hasn't shown an issue any of the many times I've checked it. This isn't helped by the fact the service checker doesn't seem to operate fast enough on mobile data to register anything going wrong...

It's happened across multiple devices (owned by multiple people). It doesn't seem to matter how many devices are connected to the wifi, because the issue is exactly the same with just my phone and laptop as it was when we had ten or so devices at once. The weather has been variable, doesn't seem to make a difference. There's been no reported outage in my area.

I've done the usual basic troubleshooting. Disconnected all the power, unplugged everything, plugged it back in again, borrowed a cable to see if it'll work on ethernet, plugged it into an entirely different socket (I am always suspicious of dodgy student housing wiring) just in case. I've run out of things to try and it's starting to drive me mad getting thrown out at random.

Any suggestions would be appreciated! 🙏
