Terrible Wifi

Sky recently 'upgraded' my wifi to fibre. They moved the router from a room which was central in the house to a room at the front of the house because that's where the phone line entered the property. I now have one of the white routers. And the wifi is now terrible. They sent me a booster (White plug) which I use upstairs, but the wifi coverage in the house is now so poor that in parts of the house the signal drops entirely. Does anyone know the best way of fixing this? How could I get hold of additional booster?

@Sadler21 first point is to consider if you had a longer cable if the hub could be moved to a better position. WiFi sources should be out in the open on a surface somewhere abovecobstructions like radiators. You can buy a longer ethernet cable cheaply and easily either on line or from most hardwarecstores or supermarkets.

Second point is to try moving the pod you have to a position where it works better typically in a hallway.

Third point if you call Sky they should send out an engineer who can agree to supply up to two further pods if required.

@Sadler21 Sky did not upgrade your wifi at all upgrade was to your supplied Broadband Internet, and you would be best if you can put your old sky Hub back on the connection, and at the same time look to move the sky Hub back to were it was using a longer Ethernet Cable if it is possible for you to do!
