Hi all!

Following on from a previous thread about rubbish Wifi in my property, I wondered if anyone had used the following on their Sky Max hub with decent effect?

TP-Link TL-WPA4220 KIT AV600 Powerline Adapter Wi-Fi Booster

Long story short, I want a way to boost my Wifi upstairs but also offer ethernet ports for my lads PC and Xbox Series X. I know some products can be hit-and-miss with Sky hubs, so I didn't know if anyone had any luck with these?

Or of anyone has any luck with other adapters of any sort?

Ta!

- Luke

Appreciate the heads up @TimmyBGood!

I'm not too fussed in regards to the WiFi speed upstairs. It advertised upto 300mbps and I'm currently getting 80 and dropouts without, so if it can reach ~150mbps I'll be happy. I know the ethernet ports are advertised as 600mbps, so if they work for my son's gaming set up I'll be happy. If not these, is there anything you would recommend?

Cheers!

The AV1000 is at the Ethernet switch simple reason the original AV600 packed in after 6 years on the power and you cannot get the AV600 as a new model Tp has obsoleted them replaced abou 3 months ago so the AV1000 will be running in AV600 mode even though it has a Gigabit nic on it! Use both types now so have a spare AV1000, would not buy 2nd hand as you have NO history off use, just look at mine been on that length off time never switched off!

It's an outdated specification overall, which probably relates to the price-point. As @JimM1 indicates, the ethernet is 100baseT rather than gigabit.

Realistically all Powerline hardware is now rather overshadowed by modern mesh WiFi.
