topic Full fibre 300 in Broadband

I have just upgraded to full fibre broadband and have been sent a new hub sky max and pod. However everything is working fine with my original sky broadband hub. What I would like to know does anyone know if the sky pod is compatible with my standard broadband router or should I stick with my original booster and return the new equipment back to sky

@Chicco1 Number 1, the sky Max Pod will only work with the sky Max Hub, you will more than likely require to use the pod if you swap the units over! The sky Max has to be tied to your account same as the pod, you can only admin the Max with the MySky app so everything has to run through that, there is NO web interface once it is FW updated and attached to your account....

It will be slightly faster wireless wi-fi wise, and reduced wireless signal distance. If you have sky Q and mini's then you will also have to reconfigure those to work on the Max, and lose any hotspot mesh features from the devices! Anything else see the max info below!

Your original booster if it is the SE210 will not work at all with the sky Max hub but you will need it if you use the Max/sky Q combo so hang onto it like gold dust!!!

sky connecting devices
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/connect-devices-to-broadband-start

Sky Max change settings link.

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/change-wifi-max-hub-settings-a
