topic Red LOS Light on ONT in Broadband

My fibre internet suddenly dropped and I noticed the LOS light on my ONT is red. I switched it off, left it for a minute then switched it back on. After 10 minutes the light is still red. I've checked the wires to my router and everything is secure. It's not been knocked and nobody has been near it. On my router only the "power" and "Wi-Fi" are green, "voice" is red and "internet" is not lit at all. There happens to be a storm outside.

There’s no pre-warning of this. See this pinned post at the top of the Broadband board from Sky…
https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Broadband/Important-Notice-Scheduled-Broadband-Maintenance/td-p/5151847#M1014

As you've said you have an ONT box displaying a red light, see this further advice…
https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Broadband-Talk/Can-t-connect-to-broadband-and-have-a-red-light-on-your-ONT/ba-p/5151861#
