Wifi extender always warm and also plug socket

I recently recieved and installed a new max router and wifi extender. The extender was installed as recommended but is always warm, as is the socket it is in. I called into the local sky shop and they said this was both normal and safe. I'm looking some reassurance that this is the case. There is no discolouration or smell, just as level of warmeth I am uneasy about.

@Skycustomer34 Just make sure to keep it clear off anything around it as a just incase! All extenders have a touch warmth no matter which manufacturer, and the more that passes through it the warmer it will get! Sky Max hub is the one to be concerned about!

Thanks. I was looking for some reassurance from Sky but was defeated by the helpline algorithms.
