Ring Doorbell's are a bit of a nightmare when it comes to WiFi, if its not really strong it won't connect. You may need to purchase a Ring Chime Pro to improve the connection.

Using the 2.4Ghz band will improve the range, but, WiFi 6 specifications require the 5Ghz and the 2.4Ghz to have the same SSID (WiFi name) so you cant split them. You can turn off the 5Ghz signal in the router and this will cause your Ring doorbell onto 2.4Ghz. If it still can't connect then you will need to look at other soloutions.

In my garden I can't get any Ring devices to work that use 2.4Ghz only. Even with an Access Point located outside, there is so much interferance from a local factory nothing works above about 10 feet up!
