Adult sites being blocked

I recently had a new Sky box fitted (broadband and phone). I can't get on to [removed] sites, it days it's being blocked by a moderator and I can't get through to Sky

It's WiFi. I could watch it on Tuesday night but not today

Hi, it's with Sky (mobile and broadband). I've tried to ring Sky, but it's impossible to get through to them 🤬

For Sky Broadband you'd need to alter the default Broadband Shield age setting.

On cellular data from a phone with a Sky Mobile SIM it would be switching off the Parental Controls.

Either connection method would also now require the Age Verification applied by the website itself under the remit of the Online Safety Act which isn't anything to do with Sky.

Thank you. I'm unable to change the settings, as it has to be approved by a Sky monitor. The chatbot has no idea what I'm talking about 🤣

Neither should require that: for Broadband Shield it's a login, and for Parental Controls on Mobile it's possession of a credit card. I don't know what's generating any messages about a 'monitor' or 'moderator' as outside these forums there isn't any such thing.

Nothing has to be approved by anyone as you have control over your broadband shield settings and not Sky.

Hi, thank you for all your advice. It seems that I can't access the Parental Controls, or the Broadband Shield. I'm getting annoyed with it all now, so I'm going to bed.
