While that is likely the cause, it is still very infuriating when your in the middle of watching a programme and suddenly everything goes off because the internet has gone down. And once every now and then you don't tend to mind but when it has happened at least four times in one week, then it starts getting very annoying. We are night owls as that's the only time we get to actually chill, watch some tv and relax a bit, so it is very much a nightmare then when suddenly everything goes off thing goes off again.

When there are issues between midnight and 7am (and particular over a few nights) it's quite possibly going to be essential overnight maintenance taking place which is carried out then to minimise disruption as most customers are asleep. Hopefully it'll be back up and running before 7am.

But imagine the uproar if this maintenance took place at 1230pm!

Likewise, except my broadband is required to charge my electric car, charge my solar battery, all between 0030 and 0530, loss of connection means the devices default and won't restart the request, so car not charged, nor low cost electricity in the battery , thus costing money.
