Slow speed on smart v

Although the health check says that my wifi connection is good i am having trouble with buffering on smart tv.

My connction is for 900 mbps but the wifi speed on my tv just checked is 14 mbps.

this is causing buffering when viewing sport programmes.

My tv is on ground floor of cottage and my router is on 1st floor

Its possible that the TV is too far from the hub for a decent connection. What TV make & model is it?

That's significant: the antenna setup means router WiFi signal is often weakest below them.
