Wi-Fi dropped 3 hours ago while on my Mac. Then noticed my mobile and all the sky q boxes lost connection.
Turned everything off, tried reconnecting. No luck. Sky Q box says the router is not issuing IP address. No issue reported in my area. Main sky box is plugged in and working, but nothing on Wi-Fi. Help, tips, any hope appreciated!

You need to see if your router is broadcasting the SSID, can you 'see' your network with a wi-fi device, phone, laptop?

You have already tried powering everything down, did that include your router?

You could then try a full router reset, depending on the router it resets diffrently, you might as well try it as that is what Sky technical will insist you do as part of their fault finding, on the black SR203 routers, press and hold the reset button for around ten seconds until the power light blinks then goes red, let go and wait until the Wi-Fi light comes on, wait another 30 seconds and see if that helps. For the Max hub (SR213) press and hold the WPS button for 30 seconds until the ligh flashes, wait a god couple of minuets and try to connect.

Thank you so so much for your advice Waveman, I can see the network on my phone, even after forgetting it.
I reset the router on the back as you said, tried again. Phone looks like it's connecting then drops again. Sky q mini box gets to step 4 of 4 and says no.
Does this sound like I need a new router?

I don't know if it was the reset, or if it was turning everything completely off again and sitting in silence for 10 minutes, or what.

But it's all good, Wi-Fi on and working and back to normal. Thank you both for your advice!
