Wireless booster not working

I had my sky broadband installed yesterday. The broadband is working fine, but the WiFi booster that I was sent isn't working and keeps flashing. I have moved it into several plug sockets and currently it's less than a metre away from the broadband box, but still isn't connecting.

@AndrewPickett what type of booster have you been sent? It needs to match the hub so posting the colour of your hub will help forum members to know what to advise

Both seem to be white.
