You can unplug the unit's power but dont remove the power supply.

Hi, very new here. I recently left Sky Broadband for a new provider and I have returned the WiFi router as instructed but I have no idea what I should do with the Openreach modem and power supply. Any advice on what I should do please? Thank you for any replies.

@PaulB_119

Strictly speaking, an Openreach 'modem' (used for ADSL or FTTC on a copper circuit) is obsolete.

Openreach ONTs (for FTTP) are part of the national network and shouldn't be removed: as @Chrisee indicates you could switch it off at the mains, but ideally don't separate it from its mains plug.
