I recently had full fibre installed to the Sky hub router in my house. I currently have a Sky Q box and receive TV via the satellite dish.
I was told by the Sky sales rep that once fibre was installed I will no longer need the satellite dish.

Is this true? If so, how do I go about changing from Satellite to WiFi?

Or was I sold a dud?

@Whitf5462 Either the sales rep is wrong or they were trying to mention Sky stream which works over broadband only.

If you currently have Sky Q you still need a satellite dish

Yes and No... the satellite dish works and if you want to continue using it, no problem. However, with a fast broadband connection- streaming seems to be the future, whether that be via Stream, Glass or many of the streaming apps that are out there.
My home is a streaming household, however, I still use the satellite dish for Freesat on my TV and a Freesat recording box.
I am now using Now TV for my streaming, as opposed to Stream.... Sky still gets my money, but less of it and I am getting more Sky programming than I previously had.

You can negotiate the price for Stream and or Glass but it will mean you giving up on Q as you cannot have both.

Technically correct through using a different platform, but not for Sky Q.

By switching from Sky Q to Sky Stream (or Sky Glass if you want to overpay for a new television set ; )
