topic Suspected Scam SMS message in Broadband

I have received a SMS message purporting to be from sky and offering a free upgrade to Sky Full Fibre. I suspect this to be a scam and have not responded or clicked anything in the SMS. It was initially quite convincing however, as it contained my first name and also the last part of my postcode. Having conducted a reverse lookup of this senders number, it shows as "a dangerous caller linked to scams". Has anyone else had this? Just to make people aware of this possible scam.

@Cainy8362

Sky is conducting a campaign to increase FTTP uptake using both WhatsApp and SMS.

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/full-fibre-broadband-at-no-extra-cost

Of course that doesn't mean scammers aren't latching onto this (and its their previous spoofing of legitimate Sky numbers which generates the warnings you saw)
