Central location is good, but more important is what/where the hub is best needed for connection, then the rest becomes what is needed to get the required result...

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-which-sky-hub

At present I only have two devices running on the router, very often both devices have the loading circle on the screen.

the router is in one corner of the house ( whitch when installed we were told that we wouldn't have a problem with it being their, although I wanted it installed in the hall way central to the house.)

I have completed a WiFi test with no apparent fault's. My contract runs out in February and I'm seriously considering changing providers. Apart from wanting more money off me for an upgrade, can anything be done to improve this slowness.
kind regards

Dave scanlan.
