Whats stopping you?... goto 192.168.0.1, login with admin/the password is the Wi-Fi password printed on the label on the bottom of the hub - go into Wifi, you'll be able to have separate 2.4 and 5 Ghz SSIDs.

It's simply not possible on the white Sky Max Hub or the new Gigafast+ Hub

Apparently only through a bug where it's possible to do so through the web interface when first installed before the firmware updates. It's not something most customers will be able to do later: the functionality to unsynchronize and rename the bands independently just isn't there in the way it was with the Q Hub and Sky Broadband Hub.

Then seriosuly consider switching from the skyhub...unless you have services like telephone line that will only work with skyhub. I have quite a few home automation devices, that only work on 2.4 Ghz, I was running a secondary router downstream of the skyhub solely for home IoT - mostly cos I didnt want to mix the home network with IoT, and more for that fact if I put the house on rent, the home IoT can continue on the 2nd router, and the tenants can do anything upstream. It all worked fine until I upgraded to a Tado X system..system kept going offline. Yado coudlnt figure it out either, so I took a punt that double nat thriugh a sky router could be causing problems, so, last night, switched over to an Asus router..so far, so good
