&lt;P&gt;Any number can be spoofed.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;With any calls from 'Sky' (especially unexpected calls) if the caller asks for your telephone password to confirm you're the account holder (which I would expect a genuine Sky agent to do) initially give an INCORRECT one on purpose. If the caller doesn't challenge it then you know it'll likely be a scam call.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I was called today by an 0333 number and the caller said they were from Sky Broadband.&amp;nbsp; Is there any way of checking that this was genuine?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;ISPs very rarely proactively call customers, so an abundance of caution is advisable.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;They never call to offer speed fixes or security advice, and being told to download and install remote access software is always a scam.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
