Order delayed further

Hi, I was meant to have my fttp broadband installed on 24/09 on the day the engineer showed, done the work, but unfortunately hit an issue just before completion as the pon light kept flashing. This caused the need for another engineer to be called out on the same day an N11 engineer who did external work for a couple hours. He then told me that some more work had to be done externally and the Internet needed to be switched on this could take upto 48 hours. I waited until 2 days later and then contacted sky, they informed me that openreach had set a day for finalising the work to 09/10, after getting two updates on the sky app that work was being done etc I now have the update that openreach are experiencing problems with their systems... so I called sky for clarification on what this means. They just related the message and said there won't be an update until 13/10 this is now getting ridiculous as we have recently moved into this house we currently have been left with no Internet. It's unacceptable to be left in limbo and given absolute zero clarity on the situation.

@Mistborn19 unfortunately Sky cannot do anything more as you are both waiting on Openreach. Fibre faults of this type are rare but do require specialist resources to fix. You will be accrueing compensation see Customer Auto-Compensation | Sky Help | Sky.com

Only consider cancelling if you have access to an alternative network than Openreach switching to another isp using Openreach will delay things further.
