      <title>We don’t have an openreach opt box. Sky assumes we do. Help</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Sky phoned us. Told us we were being updated to superfast fibre optic broadband. We would receive a cable in the post and instructions. This arrived and had a simple diagram showing us how to plug into our Opt box. The problem is we don't have an Opt box only a simple phone line box with a phone socket and a cable leading to our broadband modem. No fibre optic socket.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;If sky have sent you a ethernet cable then you need&amp;nbsp; to call them&amp;nbsp; and find out when the engineer is coming&amp;nbsp; to do the installation of the full fibre broadband&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I ordered&amp;nbsp; full fibre to the property in november 2023 and in the December I got the same kit as you, and then January last year the open reach engineer came and installed the cables and the boxes&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="1000017113.jpg" style="width: 4000px;"&gt;&lt;img src="https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/113493i21B736CE38834C40/image-size/medium?v=v2&amp;amp;px=400" role="button" title="1000017113.jpg" alt="1000017113.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt; this is the one outside the house and this is the optical network terminal box inside the house&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="1000017516.jpg" style="width: 1075px;"&gt;&lt;img src="https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/113494i13468F0D37BCD012/image-size/medium?v=v2&amp;amp;px=400" role="button" title="1000017516.jpg" alt="1000017516.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt; &lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/4488511"&gt;@Lucy7B&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;the ONT unit is installed by an engineer during a prebooked appointment check the My Orders section of the My Sky app which should show when that is booked. During the appointment the engineer who could work for Sky, Openreach or a sub-contractor will connect your new servicecas explained here &lt;A href="https://www.openreach.com/help-and-support/full-fibre-broadband-installation-checklist" target="_blank"&gt;https://www.openreach.com/help-and-support/full-fibre-broadband-installation-checklist&lt;/A&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Sky only send out the hub and the cables thst connect them to the ONT before this work is done.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
