Hi, I have had not internet since Tuesday 23rd Sep evening and have been told it won't be back potentially until 29th Sep. I've been told it's an outage effecting the area. It's taken a lot of phone calls to sky to get that much info. All I want to know is :

a) why does your system and down detectors show no outage in area , I've def not seen any engineers by the green box as I can see it,

b) my neighbours and local area fb group dont seem to have a problem ( not scientific I know) so how many people is it effecting.

c) I don't neeed specific info but be nice to know roughly what the issue is( a fire, damaged box, wiring, a hack at open reach, dug up cables etc) or plainly the engineers don't know.

d) would be nice to be kept updated on the situation even if text saying no progress today. Thankfully on the 4th call I got an agent who agreed to update me via text but that was them personally doing it , the prev 3 agents said wasn't possible.

Dan

This is a customer led discussion forum where we try to help other Sky customers.

Its doubtful Sky will have those answers either as the repair is down to Openreach.,

If OR do not tell sky, then sky may just guess and tell you whatever to get rid!

Sometimes such information gets relayed by local press: a 'hack' is extremely unlikely though, because when an unfriendly state actor decides to do that we'll all know about it...
