Full Fibre and its installation

Received the email today about upgrading to Full Fibre, initial view is that it is expensive, but beyond that, I cannot see if it requires a new entry point and therefore any drilling etc. Anyone else had the new Full Fibre please?
Also if so, is it really any good?

Typically, yes: there's the new optical cable, an external passive enclosure (CSP), a drilled entry hole, a fibre pigtail and a powered internal device (ONT)

Also if so, is it really any good?

Aside from the hugely faster potential speeds, the big advantage is that optical fibre is immune to many of the fault conditions inherent to electrical data signalling over a metallic (copper) conductor, particularly when this gets wet.
