You need to log the fault with Sky. There's no 'fast track' or expedited attention process: domestic broadband subscription rates don't cover such things. In the UK external repair is the domain of Openreach and its subcontractors, but ISP customers cannot contact them directly. Starting tomorrow morning the target time to fix would be two days: Openreach reports to Ofcom that they meet this target for 85% of faults.

Either stay on the phone and don't respond to the prompts, or use an online diagnostic pathway.

A tradesperson has damaged the optical cable in our garden that goes from the street to the house. How do I get that repaired as quickly as possible?

Sky service checker can book a Sky engineer but they will probably need to book a BT Openreach engineer.

How can I fast track to the company that will fix the outside cable to the street junction point?

Also, any tips for getting to speak to a Sky person and not a bot would be much appreciated in order to expedite the required fix.

Many thanks.

Thanks @TimmyBGood for the tip of hanging on the call not saying anything to get to a human. It worked. 🙂 I was getting nowhere with the chat bot and online help.

An excellent helpful human answered and explained everything re getting an OpenReach engineer out and booked me in for Tuesday. Fingers crossed for easy repairs - the cable has been damaged multiple times by the tradesperson 😞

Many thanks.
