Hi - thanks for your reply and the links.

Looks like I have a new Sky Max Hub with the Sky Q booster.

I think this may answer my original question, but the broadband installation engineer said it would still work. I'll assume he was mistaken. Any idea what I need instead?

Thanks again.

Hello all - I'm after some advice please. My problem is that my Sky provided internet booster keeps dropping out. This has started happening since I made changes to my Sky package. The engineer told me the booster would still work - but there are problems.

Here are the changes:

- I used to have a Q box - that is gone now. I don't have Sky TV anymore.

- I upgraded from the old copper network to full fibre.

I use an ethernet cable to connect my computer to the booster. The new modem is in the same place as the old one that didn't drop out

I have reset and connected the booster to the new modem. However I'm having to reconnect them at least twice a day. I'm wondering whether the booster might be past it's best (an engineer provided it 5ish years ago) or perhaps the booster doesn't like the new modem. Maybe the booster is designed to work with a Q box that I don't have anymore?

Any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks in advance.

Have never used a sky Max hub!

I've looked up the Pods and it seems that is what I need instead of the booster Sky have left me with. I wasn't told about these when I signed up for Wifi Max just that 'it enhances your wifi'. Guess I'll have to make the dreaded phone call.

Thanks again for your help today.
