My new Sky Hub arrived today. Although I didn't order it i just renewed my Internet contract. But it was open and the box itself looks scratched. Not sure if its refurbished or what but the seal was broken. Unsure what to do?

I would contact Sky and tell them the new hub arrived damaged.

You might not have been expecting a new hub, but a newer unit will provide a number of benefits.

Sky Q hubs won't receive security updates after the new year and are being replaced free of charge (by Broadband hubs). Mine was replaced in February after I received an email from Sky.

The hub has scratches. The thing is even if it was a refurb surely the seal should still have been in tact?

I would do it for sure, my 4 year old hub that i returned back to sky 2 years ago now, you would have thought that it was brand new and just out the box, some people just do not take care off them, not there's to keep so no ownership!
