Thanks for the info. That's very misleading though, I wish they'd change the info on the screen to make it clearer.

Trying to change my wi fi password & user name, as per recommendation from my Trading Standards newsletter, but the address given to type into web browser shows 'insecure network, doesn't support https!! '(192.168.0.1). So I' m reluctant to take it further. Any suggestions?

As it happens this one of the reasons Sky gave for switching the usersettings on their latest white hubs to the My Sky app.

Older routers (from all ISPs) use 'self signed' SSL Certificates which cannot validate as a secure connection. As @Chrisee indicates by definition the warning which appears in such circumstances is generated by the web browser rather than the router because at that point the browser is refusing to communicate with something it regards as suspect: this means there's no option for a hardware manufacturer or ISP to provide a more useful message.

These two models are being withdrawn as they do not meet the new regulations about internet security part of ehich is around password rules beingbintroduced in 2026.

The black Broadband Hub on the top row is still current and meets the regulations despite settings being in the web interface not the app.
