My WiFi keeps dropping out so think I need an engineer out to check it. Equipment is old and possibly needs updating. A new hub.

@Statto73 if you have one of the hub's in the second row in the picture on this page https://www.sky.com/help/articles/set-up-hub-which-sky-hub-do-you-have Sky will replace it if you call them.

If your hub is one on the first row these are still current models. Sky only send out engineers to sort WiFi issues in specific circumstances as it is intially up to the customer.

Poor WiFi coverage is probably the most common question we get in the forum. In many homes a single Sky hub cannot provide a usable wifi signal in every room due to the layout and type of construction of the property especially in older homes. Assuming the hub is in the best possible position which is out in the open on a surfsce then the only answer is additional wifi sources.

Your choice.is to either buy Sky's add-on WiFi Max bundle which can supply up to 3 extenders see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max or buy your own wifi system and use that instead of the Sky hub's WiFi. Sky will send out an enginerr as part of the WiFi Max package if a single extender is not sufficent to give tge guarateeed speed in every room.
