Sky Max hub Overheating

Frequently during the recent warm weather our broadband connection drops out.

Foliwing many reboots of the hub on many occasions I've realised that the hub is getting too hot and when it does the system goes down.

The max hub is in free space and not in the sunlight, but everytime we've had a issue the hub has been relatively hot to the touch.

Resetting the hub and positioning a fan in front of it seems to cool it down enough for it to start working again.

Is this a faulty hub or just a design flaw?

Its normal for the hub to be hot to the touch as long as its not uncomfortably hot to touch.

Is the heat of the hub 100% linked to your broadband outages or is it possibly just a coincidence?

Don't think it is a coincidence. I find it strange that everytime we have an issue the router is hot and it's only been in the recent warm spells. Also positioning a fan in front of it so it cools down has seemed to remedy the issue everytime.

If this is the case I suggest contacting Sky to get a replacement, it shouldnt require a fan on it.
