Thanks for the advice. In fact it turns out my fibre was under delivering against guaranteed speeds for 4 days out of the 9 I've had it! I've discussed and sorted with Sky who will provide a new booster which works better with Sky Max router. Cheers

I have just had fibre installed but my broadband speeds have not improved from the copper wiring. Also my Hisense smart TV constantly loses connection when this only happened infrequently with copper! My booster was originally installed as I had a problem with that part of the house but your engineer assured me it would no longer be needed with fibre. I am grateful that, as a Sky VIP, you have installed for free but you can only imagine how disappointed I feel. Is there anything that can be done?

It's a Sky Max hub which remained in exactly the same place after the fibre cable was installed. The booster also remains in the same place. Neither were changed as part of the installation and only the short Sky provided cable was used. In short, only the cable was changed hence my confusion about no speed improvement and intermittent signal in 1 part of the house!!

@SteveR6 Have a look at the sky service checker on your account, expand the broadband and your history last 31 day's should be displayed, the information shown will contain the package you are on, the current speed to the hub and if the package was increased then you should see that applied with a jump in speed applied. Internal same hub, same booster and same positions, then you may just need to speed test at the hub to see it has been setup correctly from the sky/OR end. Cannot see why you would be advised that a booster would not be needed, that has nothing to do with a Fibre speed install or a package speed increase!

https://www.sky.com/servicechecker
