Sky Wifi6 Router

Hello fellow community members

I am hoping to switch from Virgin to Sky and need an answer to the following question as I wish to avoid any need to employ an IT guy to facilitate the switch.

I have a large house and use Ubiquiti wifi extenders throughout- these work perfectly with my Virgin hub(Router). My question is....

"is it simply a case of repalcaing the Virgin router with that supplied by Sky and will all devices including the Ubiquiti extenders automatically work?"

@markeymalarky In theory yes, but you do need to know what is setup and how!

Tnank yiou- i can say that whenever I have had to replace the Virgin hub, it has required no further IT involvement and all works well with the wifi extenders. I was hoping this would be the same with the Sky router?

@markeymalarky There is NO reason the sky Hub will not work with the Wi-Fi Extenders, the VM has modem mode, the Sky does not, that is why said you need to know what is what!

VM is Docsis or Fibre, Sky is fttc or fttp, neither work with each other and they are completely seperate companies, Sky does not use VM Equipment and VM does not use Sky Equipment!

Perhaps note that unlike a Virgin Media router, there isn't any model of Sky Hub which has a modem mode.
