Do I Need Broadband Boost

Hi,

I've just re-contracted Sky Broadband with the add-on Boost extra. I got this when I moved over to Sky Broadband 18 months ago so have just included it in the new contract.

I'm wondering now though, do I actually need it?

From what I can tell, it's just a sort of guarantee. There are no additional cables or boxes, so nothing physical.

Are there any specific benefits that I'm paying for?

Can I just call up, get Boost switched off and stop paying for it?

And how do I know if the service would be adversely affected if it was removed?

Note that any references you find online to Broadband Boost providing access to the parental control 'Broadband Buddy' app are no longer correct: that ceased to be available several years ago.

Parental Control is now administered through the My Sky app for WiFi Max subscribers.
