Installation Query - existing ONT.....

My install takes place this week for fibre broadband. My query relates to my existing connections. I was with TalkTalk, so have a cityfibre installed ONT.

I had to choose supplier not listed on my order as i am disconnected, so

My question is whether this will be a new install with drilling. or if my existing cityfibre will be used, as you partner with them.

It is the fibre 150 I ordered, I think.

Sounds like you will get a new install . What was the upload ?

The main way to deduce whether its openreach or city fibre is cityfibre would give you 150 Mbps download and 150 Mbps upload symmetric speeds while openreach do assymetric 150 Mbps download and around 30 upload

Fttp on demand is different . You'd be looking for wbc fttp for domestic full fibre.. when you subscribed what actual upload were you quoted

Sorry, not really technical. Not sure what you mean by quoted, just chose the 150 option as it came up as available for me to get.

@Cannon All the information up/down min/max expected etc will be detailed in your e-mail from sky, if you have 150/150Mb/s then CF is the one, OR would be 150/30Mb/s!

I have only had a confirmation of the install date so far. Signed up for an account and no data there either yet.

You could try the sky.com website without logging in as if you were a new customer and check the correspondind upload speed to what you have requested

Thanks, I did that and got 145-152 download and 126-151 upload.

@Cannon as you ordered the 150 like me you must have got the 150 download 100 upload if im right correct me if wrong 🤔😊

I got 151 down and 125 up as an estimate before install. Just an a speed test there and got 150 down and 153 up. 👍

s i use the sky one the service checker so i ordered 150 so 152 down and 100 up burt i orered 150 so 152 is wicked😁
