WhatsApp not working on WiFi

So I've tried everything, rebooting router, and IPhone. Checking BB shield, deleting WhatsApp completely and reinstalling (without restoring content even).

It then worked for one message then decided to not work again. All I get is "connecting" on the phone.

I've exhausted all information available for this problem on Sky and other help forums.

I have been getting weak security warnings, but having SkyQ which is defaulted at WPA2 etc, there is a known issue with Apple devices stating weak security when it's not.

Actually second part, TikTok, Instagram also not working. But things like YT and Facebook are?????

So did you manage to fix it because I am having the same issue WhatsApp and FB not working. Tried disabling the shield still no luck but works fine on mobile data and the issue is persistent on all devices at home connected to WiFi

I am facing the same issue here, did this got ressolved? My instagram and whatsapp keep loading when connected to the wifi. Both these apps works fine when connected to the mobile network.

No one from Sky helped or responded but I did extensive digging and found a work around. You need to change some setting in your WiFi connection I have attached the steps

1) Click on configure DNS

2) Change to manual if on automatic

3) add server 8.8.8.8 and remove any other servers

This should fix the issue and you will have to do this for every device that is connected but it's social media doesn't work like FB, WhatsApp etc

Hi, I changed the settings on my broadband filter to 18 and over which resolved it. Hope that helps.
