Just changed to sky and got broadband installed today 900mbs. Guy come to install it no problem, had a WiFi speed of over 800, now all of a sudden, 10 foot away from router im

getting less than 125mb, go in another room 5 feet away, less than 20mins but still getting full 900mbs over Ethernet at the other side of my house via the cable I run.

any ideas on the cause before I cancel straight away. Not what I expected from sky

@Lukeashley

Its perfectly normal for speed to drop off over WiFI as you move away from the router, thats just the nature of WiFi & the laws of physics when it comes to radio waves.

If you took the WiFi max addon with your order then you can claim boosters FOC if your speed is below 25mbps in any room, however anything higher than that then Sky wont be interested because they are delivering as promised.
