Hi

This seems to be a very asked. However, the setting on my router and sky app don't allow me to create 2 SSIDs. I'm having issues where my PCs connected to over 2.4 as the signal is signal is sliightly stronger.

The router broadcasts both 2.4 and 5 on the same SSID

I can disable 2.4 on the router, but this is still required.

On the router all config is disabled, apart from the disabling 2.4 or 5ghz

On the sky app I can only renamed the SSID

Any suggestions

@Defiance you will find the inability to split eifi bands is quite common on modern routers as doing so breaks WiFi6 which requires the2 bands synchronised to achieve higher speeds. On older routers it was sometimes necessary to split bands to allow slower devices not to slow down faster devices this is far less of an issue with more powerful modern routers.

If you simply want to connect a device which wont connect to a synchronised SSID temporarily turn off the 5GHz band connect thee device then turn on the 5GHz band again and it should stay connected.

See post 3 above, there are different requirements depending on the hub.

If the password has been changed at some point, then you can revert back to its original settings by resetting the hub by holding in the reset button on the hub, or the WPS button on the Sky Max hub, the Sky website help secition helps with forgotten passwords etc.

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/access-your-sky-broadband-hub-settings
