FTTB ("fibre to the basement") then cat5e/cat6 to the flats. Its normally an exclusive arrangement with the freeholder/management company

Obviously Sky don't offer service in those MDUs.

Potentially moving to a new build.

I have full fibre with Sky already.

New build has full fibre and in a cupboard under the stairs there appears to be the open reach lan portal and also hyperoptic boxes.

Can I move sky full fibre easily in this situation or does the hyperoptic box get in the way.

Tried phoning sky but no help.

Can upload or send pictures if that will help explain.

I need to know if we can swap sky to new property ok as I suspect I'll also need to move from sky q with dish to sky stream.

Sky Broadband isn't available over Hyperoptic infrastructure: it's Openreach or CityFibre only.

You may find your property developer has an exclusive arrangement with that provider which effectively precludes any other installation.

Is that an Openreach ONT or a 'telephone' wall socket?

There's no such thing as an Openreach Local Area Network.

My son moved into a Taylor Wimpey new build in the New Year. That had been set up with Hyperoptic in mind but has successfully joined Sky broadband full fibre and Sky Q.

@bd448 wrote:

You would need to check with the developers if satellite dishes are allowed. If they are then Sky Q would become part of a Sky Home Move.
