Sky Ultrafast max half speed

Well,

Ive got the above package but Im only getting maybe 500mbps, no where near the 1gbps. I have been running speed tests for the last few hours and cant get above 500, this is in the same room as the router (black sr203), anyone else with this problem able to rectify it?

If that's over WiFi then you aren't going to get anything like gigabit (particularly from 802.11ac wireless hardware)

The 1Gbps claim is over ethernet, not WiFi. No single WiFi client really needs 1Gbps worth of speed and you would only get that in extremely good WiFi environments with little noise and a good performance router & client.

Thanks for the rapid replies! Ive tried it wired and im getting 860 to 900. I suppose thats that answered and sorted.
