This will get you going, have a look at Post 7 in this thread, worked for me when I had the same issue.

It is important to have the Pod close to the router to set it up inititally.

When the pod is then put in the socket you need it in, don't expect it to be great to start with, it seems

to take a little while to settle, the pods are not as good as the old WiFi extenders, my old router and extender

worked fine with a good connection to my Sky Q box, with the Max router and pod, it won't connect, I had to

use a Devolo mains eternet connection.
