I noticed openreach laying cables on the street next to mine today and I was speaking with them, they told me my street was done, I've been on superfast for a few months with speeds of around 12m/b, I knew they were planning faster speeds sometime this year and here it is.

Now I'm being offered an upgrade with Wifi Max, what is this exactly? does this router give me access to the faster speeds? because my broadband is still the same 12m/b very low, which doesn't make sense since they've been laying cables and told me our area was done, thanks.

@sickbullet80 NO, until you do the Fibre Upgrade which is all new fibre cable to your home, a new box ONT fitted inside then your existing cable is still what it is!

I'm guessing an option would appear to upgrade on my package when the time comes, it'll probably take a little more time.

Wifi Max is a digital addon which enables additional functionality in My Sky app such as downtime schedules, device prioritisation and some other bits like pausing devices.
