I've recently moved home(2 wks in), have broadband speed 75. The WiFi drops off in certain rooms. Boys saying XBox is lagging. Do I need the new WiFi box (not sure exact name) or do I need a package with higher speed?

Hi @Caz212010

If you find your connection is working fine in some rooms but not others its very likely you need a WiFi booster to increase coverage in that area. Boosters can be claimed from Sky for free if you have the broadband boost or Sky max addons.

I would note however that adding boosters to allow a connection of a gaming device like an Xbox could cause issues. This is because boosters sacrifice speed & latency for range so it could make the gaming experience pretty poor. I would look at using ethernet for the Xbox or perhaps powerline adapters/homeplugs if direct ethernet is not an option
