OK, not a computer expert in any way, so keep it simple please!

I have an HP550 printer, which is wirelessly connected to the network. I think my router is quite up to date, model SR213 o2 UK wht. The printer is used by an iphone, ipad, a pixel phone, and Asus laptop and a pc. Most of the time, the printing is straightforward, but about once a month the connection drops, and the printer is unreactive. It then needs unplugging 30 secs, and the network refreshing. Can take several tries.

I have looked at the router, and it loos like the signal is split between 2.4 and 5.0, with the various hardware being split between the 2. I could live with this, but thinking if my wife were on her own, she understands it much less than I.

Any suggestions please, but not hard wired, the router and the printer are separated, and we have a booster in place.

Thanks

To me that sounds more like a printer issue than your Sky hub. Are all other devices working fine when the printer has this issue?

Then I suspect its the printer possibly waking up from sleep and struggling to reconnect to the network

Sounds right, but is there an answer to the problem?

Likely that answer would lay with HP. If the printer works 99% of the month & all other devices are behaving fine 100% of the month there is very little Sky or the forum can offer in terms of support.
