Internet Dropping out constantly on Macbook.

Hello,

I'm experience random requent drop outs on my Macbook Pro requiring me to re-connect the internet.

This is happening about once every 5 minutes and has been happening for the last week. I'm streaming videos, building websites, updating programmes etc - I'm a website developer so it's crucial I get this sorted!

We've only had the internet here for about 3 weeks as I've just moved in.

I'm also seeing random drop outs when playing on my xbox online during live games - it's just a quick burst of bad internet and then everything is fine again.

Every other device (wifes laptop, phones, google hubs) are completely fine.

Is the Macbook connected using the same method as the other devices that are not experiencing issues?

Have you tried using the Macbook in the same location as the other devices to see if the connection drops there as well?

This is happening to me too. It's really frustrating, and making working from home almost impossible.

Thanks for your replies,

The Macbook is basically a couple of meters away from the router in the same room.

Ive done nothing different with the macbook in terms of hooking it up to the wifi - juat the standard method of hooking up the wifi.

Never had an issue in the past with dropouts on other WIFI connections.

I am having the same issue this started some time ago. No other Apple products in the house having the same issue but Mac regularly diaconnects from internet via sky router. This is on the new cider router and on the older routers. Sky not responding or helping!!!!

@DnA1 Would try dropping the WPA mode back on the SR213 as a first go, you may get the mac complaining a little about security level, if you are Ethernet connecting the mac that should not be a major!

@Gaviki23 Look at Max and then older devices via the link! And you are going to do it all via your app wi-fi security level!
