Hi All, Our contract is due for renewal in just over a month, both TV and BB, TV I will cutr back on to lower the costs, also want to sort out BB, but not jump out of a frying pan into a fire 🙂 We have Sky FTTC 40meg, with the minis, we get good coverage throughout the house, renwal is £36pm inc discount, Now Gigaclear can do FTTP 300Meg for £20 for 18 months, which 'seems' good, but not if it does not cover as well as Sky, and also at the end of the contract because we would then have FTTP provided by Gigagclear (the only other provider is County Broadband) we would be stuck and almost tied in to them and subject to their normal price, although I guess I could get Openreach to reconnect the traditional line ? are we better to stay with FTTC or jump ship ? 🙂

@steven1 As long as OR do not also complete the area with Fibre then you may be ok, but in 24 Months time once disconnected and you have had Fibre, then you will NOT wish to return to a 40/10 FTTC connection ever! Just watch if you have a landline when moving and if you do need to keep that, some ISP's will be a NO!

No sky Broadband then you need to consider what you are going to do with the Q and minis before you jump ship, do bare that in mind!
