Had an issue with Sky max wifi yesterday - wifi dropping out. Spent an hour talking to engineer - all cables out of router / wait 15 minutes etc. eventually seemed to help. Today my laptop signal seems poor again (been working fine for 1 year) and I can no longer connect my security cameras to the WiFi. Again - not an issue before. Any ideas?

They've all been powered off multiple times - makes no difference - they won't connect. They've all been unplugged and attempts made to reconnect right beneath the router - nothing connects.

i think the cameras are all looking for 2.4ghz - but i guess the router is 5ghz - just had this discussion with a sky engineer - the cameras have been connecting to the router happily for a year, but now will not !

Not sure whether i could change tht frequency to see if that helps

The SSID broadcasts both 2.4ghz & 5ghz at the same time, however your right sometimes cameras or other smart devices cannot tell the distinction. You can disable/rename the 5ghz band, the process of this depends on which Sky hub you have so if you let us know which one you have I can find some instructions.

Save and power reset just so you know that the hub is at least applying the settings.

I have found that reducing the security to WPA2 has enabled me to connect some cameras. Not sure how wise this is or whether I can increase it once they're connected? But it's worked for now
